UTCN organises International Fair of Scientific Research, Innovation and Invention PRO INVENT – A presentation on “Research and Innovation in EUt+ Alliance. Opportunities and Challenges”.

Between October 26 and 28, technical University of Cluj-Napoca organised The International Fair of Scientific Research, Innovation and Invention PRO INVENT, a meeting place for inventors and entrepreneurs interested in putting into practice the results of their research, innovation and creativity. This year, PRO INVENT has been the opportunity for UTCN to give a presentation on “Research and Innovation in EUt+ Alliance. Opportunities and Challenges”.
The PRO INVENT fair started in Spring 2002 and was registered as a trademark at the State Office for Inventions and Trademarks (OSIM) in 2008, with certificate number 100,000. The Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, among the first higher education institutions in Europe to organise an invention fair, holds the trademark.
PRO INVENT fair opens gates towards far-reaching horizons in knowledge through the projects it presents to its diverse and inquisitive audience. It also facilitates new connections, possibilities for collaboration and may spark creativity for future innovative enterprises.
With interest focus covering innovative materials, processes and products in fields such as energy, environment, health, agriculture, resources, and more, the 20th edition of PRO INVENT fair brings together universities, research institutes, centres and units, companies, and inventors' associations, from Romania and abroad. A special section is dedicated to the projects of students or groups of students who are affiliated to the innovation and research structures of the university.
During the fair, Professor Marius Purcar gave a presentation on “Research and Innovation in EUt+ Alliance. Opportunities and Challenges”. This was a good opportunity to bring the European University of Technology and the research carried out within this consortium to the attention of the scientific community.
The jury awarded prizes and medals to the most interesting patents. Among them, the Grand Prize of the European University of Technology EUt+, which was awarded to Technical University of Timișoara.
